Electric Current and Circuit

Electric current (I) kya hai? Rate of flow of electric charge (Q).

Charge (Q): Electrons par hota hai. SI unit: Coulomb (C).
1 Coulomb = charge on \(6 \times 10^{18}\) electrons.
Current (I): Charge flow per unit time. SI unit: Ampere (A).
\(I = \frac{Q}{t}\)
1 Ampere = 1 Coulomb per second (1 C/s).
Direction of Current: Conventionally, positive charge ke flow ki direction ko current ki direction mana jaata hai. But actually, electrons (negative charge) flow karte hain. Toh, electrons ke flow ke opposite direction mein current flow karta hai.
Electric Circuit: Ek continuous aur closed path jisme electric current flow karta hai.
Components: Cell/Battery, wire, bulb, switch, ammeter, etc.
Open Circuit: Current flow nahi karta (e.g., switch off).
Closed Circuit: Current flow karta hai (e.g., switch on).
Ammeter: Current measure karne ke liye use hota hai. Hamesha series mein connect hota hai aur iska resistance bahut low hota hai.

Electric Potential and Potential Difference

Electric Potential (V): Per unit positive charge ko infinity se electric field ke kisi point tak laane mein kiya gaya work. SI unit: Volt (V).
Potential Difference (V): Do points ke beech unit positive charge ko move karne mein kiya gaya work. Ye charges ko flow karata hai, jaise water flow ke liye pressure difference zaroori hai.
\(V = \frac{W}{Q}\)
\(W\) = Work done (Joules, J), \(Q\) = Charge (Coulombs, C)
1 Volt = 1 Joule per Coulomb (1 J/C).
Battery/Cell: Chemical energy ko electrical energy mein convert karke potential difference maintain karta hai.
Voltmeter: Potential difference measure karne ke liye use hota hai. Hamesha parallel mein connect hota hai aur iska resistance bahut high hota hai.
